About This School

NASA and the University Corporation for Atmostpheric Reserach Visiting Scientist Programs are sponsoring the Heliophysics Summer School to build this new field of science. This series of three summer schools in 2007, 2008, and 2009 will help students and senior scientists learn and develop the basic science and produce textbooks for use at universities worldwide.

This website serves as an information source for prospective students (see the Programs section), as a guide for admitted students (see Logistics), as a historical record of the schools (Participants and Resources sections), and as a continuing, deepening resource of information on the Heliophysics topic (Resources section).

In our Resources section you will find .pdf versions of all the faculty presentations, links to other websites with pertinent information, and recommended reading. We also present a proposed table of contents for the Heliophysics textbook this program will create.

The website will grow with the program. We encourage comment and contributions.

The staff of UCAR's Visiting Scientists Programs, NASA, and our summer school faculty and students hope you will enjoy this website and find it a valuable resource. Welcome!
